Bobby Brown Off His Death Bed

Days after he thought he was dying of a heart attack, Bobby Brown was out on the town again -- lit cigarette in hand! Smokin'!

TMZ caught the R&B star at Vibiana last night at the BOXeight fashion show. The quickly-recovered star puffing away!

It's not exactly a wise move, but hey, It's his prerogative

Bobby @ The Eduardo Lucero BOXeight fashion show

HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 10/12/07 - Bobby Brown is smiling and feeling fine tonight. On Tuesday, hospital spokesmen said Bobby had a mild heart attack, which he later claimed wasn't that big of an event after all. To underline it, he's was out on the town in testament to his health.

After asking him about his reported illness, the singer answered smiled just a little and said, "I'm just Bobby" and "I'm feeling great," he told Hollywood Today. The former Whitney Houston spouse was laughing and showing no signs of ill health whatsoever while taking in the highly lauded Eduardo Lucero fashion event last night.

Although we discussed the nature of his illness, he implied that he liked the newly shining limelight he's gotten from an otherwise bad situation. At one point he asked for a Hollywood Today business card for reference. I had run out and said I had everything but the kitchen sink in the Roberto Cavalli bag at hand. He mused, "Can I wash my hands in it?" to which some Purell was supplied and he did indeed wash his hands.

He added,"You know where to find me if you want to know how I'm doing," matter of factly. He and his entourage walked away as he said that he’d also be attending the highly anticipated Mercedes Benz, Smashbox fashion events taking over Los Angeles night and day starting next week. He said we would definitely find him there.

He's a very friendly guy who likes to keep his hands clean. Now anyone can appreciate that.

Bobby Brown Denies Having Heart Attack

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Bobby Brown denied Wednesday that he had a mild heart attack, something his attorney said earlier he had suffered this week in Los Angeles. The 38-year-old singer told Associated Press Radio that he is feeling fine and went to the hospital just for a checkup.

"None of it's true," Brown said. "I went in for a checkup. The doc gave me a clean bill of health."

His account differed from that of his Atlanta attorney, Phaedra Parks, who earlier in the day told The Associated Press that Brown had severe chest pains Tuesday night and was taken to two hospitals.

"This morning they did diagnose him as suffering from a mild heart attack ... they attributed to stress and diet," Parks said, noting that she had spoken with him.

She said Brown was released Wednesday morning from a hospital in good condition.

Parks could not be reached for comment after Brown made his statements. She did not immediately respond to a telephone and an e-mail message.

Brown, who has a performance scheduled Saturday in Los Angeles, said that the reports about him having a heart attack gave him a "jolt" and that he felt he had to speak out.

"I did go to the hospital ... to just get a checkup, get everything tested out so that I could go on this tour, and everything is fine," Brown said.

"I don't know where the heart attack thing came from," Brown said. "I got my heart and everything checked out earlier this morning, and I'm just fine."

Brown lives in Southern California. He is the former husband of singer Whitney Houston and is seeking custody of their teenage daughter.

Bobby Brown's Prognosis 'Great' After Mild Heart Attack

Singer Bobby Brown was hospitalized with a mild heart attack but is in "great spirits" and hopes to perform this weekend, his rep said Wednesday.

"He's recovering nicely," rep Paedra Parks tells PEOPLE. "We thank everybody for their thoughts and prayers. We really appreciate the outpouring of support."

Brown, 40, felt chest pains Tuesday afternoon and "was rushed to the hospital," Parks says. By Wednesday morning, he was in "great spirits and has a great prognosis from his doctors." He was expected to be released later in the day.

Brown, who had not experienced heart problems before, is scheduled to perform at the V100 Taste of Soul concert and festival in Los Angeles on October 13th and still planned to take the stage.

"He's a performer," says Parks. "It's what he does best."

In addition to his new medical problem, Brown is in the midst of an ongoing divorce and custody proceeding with Whitney Houston, 44. The two are expected in an Orange County, Calif., court on Oct. 22.
